Setting out

Setting Out is the process of marking out architectural designs onto the ground, this can be the footprint of a building, pile locations, or a survey grid. This is needed before construction can start and is best done precisely as it is the basis of the entire build.

The first step is to establish control on site, either from an existing topographical survey, GPS co-ordinated drawing or worst case using a best fit basis.

After this we can accurately mark out any features required, points like corners of buildings, foundations or columns.
